Works great - can show 2m and 440 Ham HT output
Shows output from a handi talkie without a direct connection. Not sensitive enough to display output from 315 MHz remote control transmitter available on this site, but that is not an issue for me. Does display output from JFet crystal oscillators that the freq counter/crystal tester kits do not. Hardware is metric, screw holes are for 3mm/.5mm coarse pitch metric in case you want to mount the unit in a panel. Youll also need 4 .25 inch spacers to clear the backlight connection if you try to mount it under a panel to show through a cutout. It looks like the screws used on a DB connector would work, but the thread is wrong. Its already proved useful to me,since in testing with my HT on various frequencies I saw that my simplex channel was set up for a repeater and a repeater channel was set up for simplex! It doe show on the HT display but this brought it to my attention.

issue with frequency difference
Just as with the 6 digit LED counter, this unit cannot display frequency if the signal frequency is below the entered IF offset. If you select difference vs Sum then it expects the IF to be below the signal being counted. If it isnt, it displays zeroes. This seriously cuts into its utility as a frequency display for radios.
